We go on hikes, swim, and explore a ton, and my Aussie is always by my side. This thing gives me all the info I need to make sure I can track him down if we ever get separated. The live feature shows me real-time distances and the map details where we are and where we've been. I even told a friend about it, and within just a week of getting it, he had to use the live tracking to find his new rescue pup who had slipped out and wandered away from home.

I’ve been using a tracker for my 35-pound dog for about a month now, and I'm pretty happy with its small size, long battery life, virtual fence feature, power management, and tracking abilities. Just a heads up for potential buyers: it needs both a cellular signal and GPS to track outside of Bluetooth range. So, if you’re in a thick forest, surrounded by tall buildings, or in rural areas with poor cell coverage, you might face issues with real-time tracking. You'll also need to pay a fee for cellular access (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile), which came to around $200 for a two-year plan. I really believe this is the top choice in its category and I’d recommend it at its current price, as long as you’re okay with its limitations.
